The US Public Policy Advisory Group is an informal voluntary group which provides advice to the FIA Foundation on road safety, sustainable transport issues and general US public policy as it pertains to the international agenda. It also aims to encourage advocacy to promote international road safety as a priority within the US, and it provides guidance on the FIA Foundation's relations with relevant US government agencies, Congress, and transport, environmental and public health stakeholders in the US. Former members of the Advisory Group have all had distinguished careers in fields of US transportation policy.

Marilena Amoni

Former Advisor

After a 32-year career with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), U.S. Department of Transportation, Ms. Amoni continues to work on a wide range of national and international road safety issues.

While at NHTSA, she served as Associate Administrator for Traffic Injury Control Research and Program Development, and for the National Center for Statistics and Analysis.  She is a former Trustee of the FIA Foundation, and Lifesavers Conference, Inc., the preeminent national conference on highway safety priorities.
